And now without further ado, here is my super exclusive (haha) interview with the totally hot and super freakin’ awesme Phoenix Askani!
Let’s start with the basics… how old are you and where are you from?
I am 20 years old… until August 12th. I live in the Chicago area.
It’s something I’ve really been interested in since 18. I’d look at porn and imagine doing it myself but I never acted on it til recently. I was familiar with BA for quite a while then decided to get an actual membership to familiarize myself better with the community on the site before I applied. I knew I was going to apply eventually… it was like one day, I said fuck it, I want to do this. And here I am.
The first scene I shot was the scene with James Deen for POV Punx. I had a bit of “newbie nervousness” as I called it but I think it helped that Joanna and James are really nice, laid back, cool people so I got comfortable pretty quickly around them. I had been at their house since the previous night so by the time we were ready to do the scene, it was like “alright, let’s do this!”. I was definitely excited about it. James is hot and I had a feeling it was going to be fun… and it
certainly was.
I listen to quite a variety of music ranging from pop punk to death metal to experimental. A few of my favorite bands would be Alkaline Trio, Saves the Day, New Found Glory, Converge, Meshuggah, Faith No More (& EVERYTHING Mike Patton), The Arcade Fire, Radiohead… I could go on and on.
Movies?
As far as movies go, I’m a big fan of Wes Anderson’s films (favorite: The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou), as well as some Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill 1 & 2). My favorite is horror/thriller movies, especially foreign. Dawn of the Dead, Return of the Living Dead, High Tension, Inside, Frontiers, Let the Right One In… all awesome. If the word “dead” is in the title I have probably seen it. America seems to just like to remake everything these days & it always comes out worse than the original. Stop doing that, please.
Oh, who knows. I’m currently in school and sticking around in Illinois but I know that I eventually would like to relocate to California. I’m not really sure what my “porn goals” are, at this point I’m just having fun with it and taking it as it comes. I do want to do more work, but for right now my priority is school. Regardless of what I do it will always be in my own best interests. I’m doing pretty well just taking it one day at a time right now.
